Once There was a Time
"Once Upon a time" transformed fairy tales into new and exciting versions. It introduced new characters and plots. However, once the show moved to the final seasons, the material became duller.
"Into the Deep" is a typical episode however it doesn't live up to the expectations set by Season 2. The main story is pretty good. But Emma's attitude is a bit self-centered to be believable. Is she the only one with magical powers?
I'm sure Emma is happy to be free of Hook, but I don't think she'll ever forget her love for Hook. She's planning to leave for New York but is afraid of love and happiness. She believes that Killian abandoned her because of her fear. Is it worth the risk?
It is revealed Emma's family had been keeping things from her. When she returns to her home, she discovers that someone had left her the magical canonizing ring that prevents people from being cursed magically. She also discovers an axe inside.
Although the episode is quite great, I'm not sure the novelty is worth it. This episode isn't suitable for you if only interested in the legend of the Hat Trick.
